LEC-Medical, specialists in medical refrigeration, have developed ATEX approved, spark-free refrigerators, freezers and fridge-freezers.

In accordance with directive 94/9/EC with reference to EN13463-1:2009, EN13463-5:2011 and EN1127, also with reference to specific requirements to EN60079-0 and EN60079-11.

Internal refrigeration chamber classified as Zone 2, category 3 when the door is closed. The external parts of the refrigerator classified as safe area and as such do not need to comply with the requirements of the Directive.
